Sarah Busman (flute), Jae Won Kim (piano), and Mark Tollefsen (piano) take us on a musical journey ranging from an invocation of Maya Angelou’s Human Family celebrating our shared humanity, through two world premieres of pieces by composer Theodore Schwamm, all the way to a stunning portrayal of Cab Calloway’s Cotton Club as it might have been in 1933.Coming to this concert doesn’t just mean you’re thinking about the power of community. You’ll also be helping your community: all proceeds will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank to support their work towards creating access to a sufficient quantity of nutritious food for all of southeast North Carolina.Tickets operate as a free-will donation. Suggested Donation: $15.00.
