November’s Featured Flies: Guide-Preferred Patterns
Join us every 4th Thursday of the month for the Fly-Tying Forum—a welcoming, hands-on gathering where fly-tying enthusiasts of all skill levels come together to learn, create, and connect.
This November, we're featuring two trusted Guide-Preferred patterns:
🪱 Guide’s Choice Hare’s Ear Nymph – A versatile, heavily used fly known for its lifelike movement and ability to imitate a wide range of aquatic insects.
🪨 Girdle Bug – A bold, buggy pattern that excels in fast water and dirty conditions—especially deadly for trout and smallmouth bass.
Whether you’re building your confidence at the vise or looking to sharpen your technique, these proven patterns are a must-have in your fly box.
