- **Event Description**: The return of our non-federation affiliated Iron Forge Gym Powerlifting Classic Comp.
This comp is for both beginners, newcomers to the sport as well as seasoned lifters wanting an extra chance for some platform experience. 
Many seasoned lifters like to use these comps as warm ups to bigger competitions or qualifiers to get some platform time in. 
Newcomers to the sport and relative novices can use it to get some experience of the sport of Powerlifting without the need to join a federation.  

It will be a 1 day event. You can enter full-power (squat, bench and deadlift) or bench only, deadlift only, or deadlift and bench combined.
We will be reffing the competition using the WPC rulebook, and will provide a link to the rulebook nearer the time for those who want to familiarise themselves with the specifics. For al newcomers we will offer a guided process through the competition and the referees will advise and help lifters not familiar with the competing.   
It's a great opportunity to come and learn and get a feel for the sport. 

Details of how to sign up will be posted on here slightly nearer the time, and we will have up to 40 spaces available (if it sells out a potential extra flight may be added for bench if we get several bench only lifters).
