In 1895, the Empress Eugenie invited a group of French Benedictines to England and they settled in Farnborough. Today the community continues to draw on the richness of more than 1500 years of Benedictine tradition.Learn more about the multi-faceted history of St Michael’s Abbey as a monastery and Imperial Mausoleum.
