November's book is The Indigo Girl by Natasha Boyd.
The Indigo Girl is a historical fiction novel by Natasha Boyd based on the true story of Eliza Lucas in 1700s South Carolina. At 16, Eliza is left to manage her family's plantations and, facing financial ruin, decides to cultivate indigo, a valuable dye crop. The novel explores her struggles against sexism, family opposition, and the complexities of slavery as she works to make the venture a success.
