- **Event Description**: All Clan Elliot members and friends are invited to our 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) Weekend, beginning Friday evening, July 31, and concluding Sunday, August 2, at 12 Noon, at the Greenmead Historical Park, in Livonia, Michigan (Detroit area).

Our AGM Weekend is hosted by the St. Andrew's Society of Detroit, celebrating its 177th edition this year.  The Saturday Games will feature all the Scottish lore, tradition, activities, and character you expect.  

Clan Elliot weekend activites will include our business meeting, which will be conducted at the Clan tent on Saturday afternoon in addition to the opportunities to fellowship with your kinsmen and women who will attend from all over the US. 

A highlight of the AGM weekend will be our Sunday morning program, concentrating on Genealogy.  Come hear a program on Genealogy 101.  If you have wanted to begin your journey to discover your ancestors, or simply want a refresher, this is the place.  

Also, come experience a"hands-on" WikiTree Workshop.  WikiTree is our Clan endorsed online genealogical platform.  You will be introduced to the platform and have an opportunity to create your WikiTree account and your first profiles!

Clan Elliot activities for the weekend:

Saturday, August 1, at the Clan Tent:

10:15 am to 10:45 am - Panel Discussion, " An Elliot Bookshelf"  Join panelists in discussing different books on Elliot history.  

11:00 am - 11:15 am - Elliot Pipes and Drums will play as they are together for the first time!

Noon (Time Approximate) Clan Elliot marches in Clan Parade.  All members, family, and friends are invited to march with us!

The Clan Elliot Annual General Business Meeting will be immediatly after the Parade of Clans st the Clan tent.  All are invited!  The meeting should last about 30 minutes.

Sunday, August 2, at the Hyatt Place...

9:00 am to 10:00 am -- Genealogy 101, presented by Judy Nimer Muhn.  A beginners' and novices guide to gettng your genealogy started or back on track

10:00 am to 11:30 am -- WikiTree: A Beginner's Workshop, will introduce Clan Elliot's endorsed online genealogy platform.  Attendees will gain a basic understanding on how WikiTree works, including opening a free account and making their first entries into the platform.  For genealogists of all levels.
