On Monday November 17th at 6:00 PM at the Hall-Dale High School Auditorium, parents, guardians, teachers/staff, and students of the HDMS and HDHS community are invited to a 58-minute showing of the film “Screenagers: Growing up in the Digital Age” followed by a facilitated dialogue on the subject of digital wellness.
In this film, physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston opens the doors to her own family life and meets with others to explore the messy struggles over social media, video games, academics, and internet addiction. Through poignant and unexpectedly humorous stories, paired with surprising insights from leading experts, “Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age” is the first feature documentary to explore how screen technology is shaping kids’ development and offer actionable solutions for empowering kids to navigate the digital world and find a healthy balance. What started out as a personal story for one has grown into a national movement, helping millions of teens and their families navigate growing up in a world with instant and constant access to screens (watch the trailer:

The event will include a showing of the film (58-minutes) plus an optional post-film discussion and Q&A to share best practices for digital wellness and balance during the teenage years.
