Digitally Mapping the Alexander Faribault House

What did the first house in Faribault look like when Alexander Faribault actually lived in it?

Over the past several months, a class from Carleton College has been searching for answers to that question using modern technology! Led by Professor Austin Mason, the class HIST 308: Digital History, Public Heritage and Deep Mapping scanned and analyzed historic documents at the historical society and "digitally mapped" the house itself.

But what does digital mapping really mean? What did the students discover?
