Parents must be present for the entire cook, but we encourage them to be as hands-off as possible to let Kids ‘Que culinary skills shine. Kids will be cooking on charcoal grills. Official rules will be emailed upon registration.

For the slider category, only the beef will be provided. Families must supply all additional ingredients including buns, garnishments, sauces, seasonings, and anything else needed for presentation. Each entry must turn in at least 6 portions for judging (sliders will be cut in half if only 3 are included in the box).

In the sirloin steak category, kids will independently trim, season, grill, and slice their steak from start to finish.

Judging will be based on taste, tenderness, and appearance.
