How many times I saw the moon nasce da una riflessione sul viaggio e sulla migrazione.
Durante lo spostamento tutto cambia: lingua, paesaggio, tempo, identità. Eppure qualcosa ritorna sempre: la luna, presenza immobile sopra luoghi lontani. Uno sguardo familiare che non indica una casa, ma un riconoscimento interiore. Il progetto traduce questa immagine in un set di trombone ed elettronica. I suoni sono oscuri e instabili, come l’incertezza del cammino. Sezioni ritmiche evocano l’attraversare, il resistere, il procedere. Lunghi silenzi aprono spazi intimi e sospesi, propri del viaggio solitario. La musica non racconta una storia, ma un’esperienza condivisa. Un movimento continuo accompagnato da ciò che ovunque resta uguale. Matteo Paggi è trombonista nei Fearless Five di Enrico Rava. Vincitore Top Jazz 2025, unisce improvvisazione, ricerca sonora ed elettronica in una visione non convenzionale.
