The Kintz-Mejia Academy of Ballet presents The Nutcracker adapted from E.T.A. Hoffman’s story “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” featuring music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and original choreography by Mark Mejia. In this beloved and timeless story a young girl Clara is presented with a Christmas gift a Nutcracker doll. Clara falls to sleep that night and the Nutcracker comes to life. After battling with the evil Mouse King the Nutcracker carries Clara away to the Kingdom of the Sweets accompanied by her dolls.
Performances are on Saturday December 6 at 7:30 pm and Sunday December 7 at 2:00 pm at Meridian High School 121 Mustang Alley Falls Church VA 22043.
