$10 entry fee paid to the store. Giveaways for all players from GW’s prize pack.
Required Materials: Bring your team, the 2025 Approved Ops mission deck, whatever equipment pieces you plan to use, and dice and tokens. Terrain will be provided using a mix of Volkus. Tomb World, and Into the Dark. The most recent Balance Dataslate and FAQs will be used.
Classified Format and Team Eligibility: Teams released through the Shadowhunt box are eligible to be played. Declassified teams may be used, but more experienced players are encouraged to use Classified Teams.
Scoring: Rounds will be two hours long. Once time is called, players must finish their current turning point. Their score will reflect the score as of the end of that TP (counting the Crit Op as if it’s the last TP) + any endgame scoring, with the T.O. having discretion over timing and scoring (e.g. “talking it out”). Players will be paired according to tournament points (win record), win path, then randomly. Placing will use tournament points, opponent win %, then primary points (per GW’s Tournament Companion document). The event will use ITC rankings. Players with a bye will receive the mean of points of other winning players from that round. Players are expected to conduct themselves properly and respectfully and will be asked to leave if they do not comport themselves appropriately, forfeiting their games.
Rulings: D6 must be legible cubes.
Painting and Proxies: Teams should be painted to a “battle ready” standard. Warhammer is both a hobby and a game. A table full of indistinguishable gray plastic can be hard to parse, visually, but no one expects every model to be studio quality. Do your best and have fun. Intricate proxies should be approved in advance; proxies and conversions that are obvious at arm’s length do not need to be cleared. “Modeling for advantage” is considered poor sportsmanship; models should resemble the “correct” figure in silhouette and height. We have no rule about 3D printed pieces but wholesale ripping off an artist’s work and printing it isn’t cool.
Sportsmanship and Conduct: We hope to cultivate a diverse community where everyone is welcome and tolerant. Players are expected to treat one-another respectfully. If someone is deemed to violate this, they may be issued a warning or asked to leave immediately, at the discretion of the T.O. and/or store staff.
