So, we figured who might know better than the City of Falls Church's City Manager, Wyatt Shields? 
(Fun fact: Did you know he's an avid cyclist?)

And wouldn't you know it, he was just the person to turn to. By some (not really a) coincidence, he's already mapped this ride out for us! 
But it gets even better! He's actually offered to lead us out on this incredibly ridiculous journey!

So load up your GPS device, grab your chamois butt'r and mark your calendars for the afternoon of Saturday, August 22nd. 

THIS IS NOT A RACE, BUT THERE WILL BE WINNERS! 

The categories will enable anyone to participate and be in the running for prizes without the necessity to complete the entire route. Mostly this is a way to celebrate cycling, Falls Church and, in some small, way the retirement of Mr. Shields who will be ending his long career in the City later this year.

For those interested in an "afterparty", the timing will funnel us nicely into a fun new program the City has been hosting hosting, namely the Sip n Stroll (link below), allowing you to shake out your legs by, you guessed it, strolling and sipping your way through the many restaurants who are participating in the City. We'll regroup for the awards ceremony at Clare n Don's to wrap things up at 6pm!

* Urban Art Explorer: Most pictures of a mural, decorated utility box,    historical marker or other example of urban art in the City.

* Best Bike: Most creative, beautiful, or distinctively decorated bicycle.

* Restaurant Week Award: Most different participating Restaurant Week cafés restaurants and bars visited and photographed while safely stopped.
