- **Event Description**: The Churchill Faith Education Fund (CFEF) is a Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) established to function as a vehicle to help Churchill County families take advantage of the new Federal Education Freedom Tax Credit (EFTC)

Beginning January 1st, 2027, the EFTC allows any US citizen who pays federal taxes to reduce their tax liability dollar for dollar up to $1,700 per year if they donate that same amount to a qualified SGO.

In other words, if you 1) have at least $1,700 on tax liability in 2027, 2) donate $1,700 to the Churchill Faith Education Fund in 2027, 3) then you can receive a dollar-for-dollar education of your tax liability up to $1,700 in 2027.

What’s does CFEF do with those funds? We scholarship student to local k-12 private Evangelical Christian Schools! If you have always wanted to send your child to one of our excellent local Christian schools but couldn’t afford it, the Churchill Faith Education Fund intends to help change that!
