-January 25: Citizenship in the Community
Join us at Battleship Cove for the Citizenship in the Community Merit Badge. This eagle required badge focuses on teaching scouts how to be active and responsible members of their local communities, introducing them to local government activities, and learning how smaller communities function effectively.
-February 15: Scouting Heritage
Join us at Battleship Cove for the Scouting Heritage merit badge. Learn about significant figures that helped create Scouting and how the program has evolved over time. Using real artifacts and talking with former scouts, you can explore the impact scouting has had on peoples lives.
-February 22: Communication
Join us at Battleship Cove for the Eagle required merit badge Communication. Learn the value of communication, how to communicate with others in various ways and how powerful it can be when used effectively. Practicing verbal communication in public and with the group, thinking about the importance of it in our daily lives.
-March 15: Safety
Join us at Battleship Cove for the Safety merit badge. Learn how to make the right decisions in emergency situations and how to respond effectively. Understand the potential hazards you might face, how to prepare properly and the importance of emergency action plans that could save lives.
-March 29: Citizenship in the Nation
Join us at Battleship Cove for the Eagle required merit badge, Citizenship in the nation. Scouts will discuss the significance of our Constitution, learning how to protect individual freedoms and actively participate in local and national government. Dissect the United States Government and see how it operates in different ways.
-April 19: Signs, Signals, and Codes
Join us at Battleship Cove for the Signs, Signals, and Codes merit badge. Methods scouts can learn to enhance their skills in communication through nonverbal means like morse code or brail. You’ll have the opportunity to interact with semaphore flags and visit Big Mamie’s radio room.
-April 26: Citizenship in the World
Join us at Battleship Cove for the Citizenship in the World Merit Badge. This eagle required merit badge introduces scouts to various forms of global cooperation, international laws, and the importance of being a good global citizen.
-May 17: Citizenship in the Community
