Held by the Wisconsin DNR, this training teaches volunteers how to survey wetlands for salamanders by counting their eggs!  This community-based project helps us understand the populations of salamanders in our state. 

Volunteers can expect a short indoor training followed by a walk to vernal pools on site. Rubber boots or waders are recommended.
 
Ages: 10+ (Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult)
Cost: Free
Location: Beaver Creek Reserve
