Beekeeping 101

Beekeeping 101 is the 1st of 3 Saturday programs designed to assist you in your new hobby of beekeeping. Topics include a basic understanding of bee biology, bee behavior, sitting the hive, acquiring bees, bee health, plants for your bees, spring feeding for your bees, how to hive your purchased new packaged bees and nucleus bees, considerations provided on equipment purchases for your new hobby and course materials and industry magazines will be provided. Randy Rykal and members of the Chippewa Valley Beekeepers will be sharing their knowledge.

There will be a catered lunch available from Chicken Chasers of Fall Creek. Bring cash for a sandwich and drink otherwise bring a sack lunch.

Location: Wise Nature Center at Beaver Creek Reserve in the Auditorium
Cost: Members $40 and Nonmembers $45
Register by: February 26 | Walk-ins will not be accepted
