Citizen Science is an excellent way to engage with the local environment and contribute vital data about nature. Volunteers worldwide collect information to understand, protect, and improve the environment.
In this workshop, we will explore citizen science and its applications. You will learn about projects you can participate in, how to effectively record and identify wildlife, and why local wildlife recording matters. You will gain the skills and confidence to participate in or organise your own citizen science activities.
To get the most out of this event it is suggested that you download the app iNaturalist and create a free account before attending.
What to bring with you – Notebook, pen, smartphone, drink and snack (all optional)
What to wear - Please check the weather, we will be outside and in woodlands so please wear appropriate clothing and shoes
Where to meet - Parking available at The Farlkirk Wheel, we will be in the Blueprint Room which you can access via the main entrance
