A Hickory Nut Gap tradition remixed! Same aim as our traditional barn yoga, new methods! Get comfortable and bring your best to the Big Barn as we cultivate flow-state with HNG's own Farmer Billy. Billy practices what he believes, working a physically demanding job like farming while maintaining consistent and high levels of energy with a smile is made possible practicing Qi Gong (pronounced 'chee-gong'). His style of teaching comes from the Noble Movement Academy. All levels welcome! These are simple movements, but they're not simplistic.

A word about Qi Gong from Farmer Billy: "If Qi Gong is new to you, great! Beginner's mind welcome. It's a deep rabbit hole, but here is the essence. Qi is often translated as "energy" or "life-force." Gong is often translated as "practice", "skill", or "mastery." Simply put, Qi Gong represents a series of subtle and pronounced physical techniques whose aim is to unify the practitioner's physical movements with their breath and their imagination. Practitioners--novice and seasoned alike--often report a sense of groundedness, ease in the body, clarity of mind, spontaneous creativity, and more connection to their Self. Consistently practicing these techniques will bring you more energy, focus, and creativity."

Make a day of it! Come shop at the Farm Store after class lets out for local meats and grocery goodies, grab a beer or beverage and wander the farm grounds to see the animals. Practitioners get 5% off meat and eggs on class day- show the associate your receipt for a single class OR your season pass.
