Mushroom Log Inoculation Workshop with Myco Rhizing

This hands on mushroom growing workshop is led by Natalie of Myco Rhizing, a Western North Carolina mushroom farmer with over 25 years of experience and a degree in environmental studies. Her farm specializes in sustainable and regenerative growing practices.
Participants will learn the full process of mushroom log inoculation, including wood selection, spawn selection, proper inoculation techniques, care and maintenance of logs, and harvesting methods. The workshop includes detailed instruction, live demonstration, and printed handouts for continued learning at home.
Each attendee will inoculate logs with shiitake and oyster mushrooms, making this class both educational and practical. This workshop is well suited for gardeners, homesteaders, foragers, and anyone curious about growing food in a sustainable way.
The class takes place indoors at the Cane Creek Station location in Fairview, NC.
