                                                                                                        Norman Corwin  (10 May, 1910 - 18 October 2011) The Poet Laureate of Radio, was an American writer, screenwriter, producer, essayist and lecturer in Journalism and Writing at USC, until he was 97.  He was among the first to regularly use entertainment, even light entertainment, to tackle serious social issues.
