Artificial Intelligence in Action: From Theory to Everyday Applications

In today’s rapidly evolving tech landscape, Artificial Intelligence (AI) stands as one of the most transformative—and least understood—innovations shaping our world. Join Anca Micu, PhD, senior associate dean of the Dolan School of Business, and Tommy Xie, PhD, associate professor in the College of Arts and Sciences, for a presentation and Q&A session as they demystify AI: what it is, how it’s already impacting our lives, the challenges it presents, and how we can harness its power for good.



Artificial Intelligence in Action: From Theory to Everyday Applications will take place from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, Second Story of the Fairfield University Store, 1499 Post Road, downtown Fairfield. From roughly 6 to 6:30 p.m. Anca Micu will discuss her book, AI Made Simple: Copy and Paste Guides for Everyday Tasks, which shows the reader step-by-step how to use AI platforms with ready-to-use prompts that make everyday tasks easier.
