Saccata Quartet are Nels Cline (Wilco), Chris Corsano, Darin Gray and Glenn Kotche (Wilco).
While Saccata Quartet's music could probably well be called free jazz, drone, dark ambient, post-noise or kosmische-noir, it should not be labeled too rigorously under any one of those banners.
"Avant-hard jazz from the impressive attacking foils Nels Cline, Chris Corsano, Darin Gray and Glenn Kotche, otherwise known as the Saccata Quartet. Stretching, squalling, tearing, drawing wild intensity and ariel droning and alien broadcasts from their apparatus, the free-jazz foursome sound like a harrowing and galloping, scattering merger of Faust, Roscoe Mitchell, Sam Rivers, Zappa and AEOC in a dense experimental world of scares and uncertainty. What’s not to love about that." – Monolith Cocktail
Opening the night is Christopher Cavaliere, a uniquely expressive voice in today’s indie and experimental music scenes. As a solo artist, producer, and band leader, he crafts immersive and genre-defying soundscapes—always rooted in emotive storytelling and instrumental nuance. From textured instrumentals to lyrically resonant songs, his evolving catalog is a testament to originality, technical skill, and heartfelt authenticity.
His performances are known for their engaging presence, opening for national acts such as Marc Ribot, Kaki King, The Stepkids, and Toubab Krewe, among others. Cavaliere’s work extends beyond the stage as he immerses himself in the process of crafting songs that reflect his broad musical influences.
Cavaliere’s presence in the music scene is not limited to his solo work. His current music projects include band Symphonic Bodega and multi media group DaDA Mr. As a recording artist he has been featured in national (AlARM Press, Guitar Player Magazine) and local press (Hartford Courant,Fairfield County Weekly’s Best Instrumentalist).
