- **Event Description**: Get ready to splash some color and creativity at the 2026 Fairfield PaintOut plein air festival!About this EventRegistration is now open for the 15th annual Fairfield PaintOut!!The Fairfield PaintOut team invites you to join us for our 15th annual plein air festival. Held in Fairfield in rural Wayne County, IL, our area in Southeastern Illinois features rural settings, smalltown scenes, agriculture, and a beautiful 194-acre lake with miles of picturesque shoreline.  We have much to offer plein air artists!Registration fee will again be $50 per artist. There are no refunds. We provide housing and most meals during the week and are working on some special events to be announced at later dates.All new artists registering must submit (via email) three high resolution images of recent work, preferably plein air. Images should be of finished works (i.e., not still on the easel). Returning artists are not required to submit work for the jurying process. We ask all artists to provide a 6 X 6 unframed painting of any subject for a fundraiser auction to be held during the PaintOut. This is voluntary, but income from the auction helps offset our costs for the event. All submissions are greatly appreciated (you're welcome to donate more than one!)Deadline for registration is June 15th. If our registration slots are full prior to the deadline, you will be placed on a waitlist in the event of cancellations.  W e are looking forward to seeing you in Fairfield in September!
