2025 Fairfield PaintOut

The 2025 Fairfield PaintOut registration is now open!

The Fairfield PaintOut team invites you to join us for our 14th annual plein air festival. Held in Fairfield in rural Wayne County, IL, our area in Southeastern Illinois features rural settings, smalltown scenes, agriculture, and a beautiful 194-acre lake with miles of picturesque shoreline, we have much to offer plein air artists.

R egistration fee will be $50 per artist. There are no refunds. We provide housing and most meals during the week and are working on some special events to be announced at later dates.

A ll new artists registering must submit three high resolution images of recent work, preferably plein air. Images should be of finished works (i.e., not still on the easel). Returning artists are not required to submit work for jury.

We ask all artists to provide a 6 X 6 painting of any subject for a fundraiser auction to be held during the PaintOut. This is voluntary, but helps offset our costs for the event. All submissions are greatly appreciated (you're welcome to donate more than one!)

Deadline for registration is June 15th. If our registration slots are full prior to the deadline, you will be placed on a waitlist in the event of cancellations.
