Britepaths is partnering with Fairfax County to host our Fall Stuff the Bus Food Drive on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Walmart in Fairfax City, located at 11181 Lee Hwy, Fairfax, VA 22030. The food drive will take place from 10am to 3pm, and we will unload the donations at our nearby office from 3 to 4 pm.
Participants in Shift 1 (9:45 am–12:30 pm) and Shift 2 (12:15 pm–3 pm) will volunteer at Walmart to hand out donation fliers to shoppers, collect donations, and periodically bring donations to the Fastran Bus in the parking lot.
Participants in Shift 3 will meet us at the front of Britpaths' office building to help unload the donations and bring them up to our SNAP Gap Pantry from 3 to 4 pm. Our office is located near Walmart at 3959 Pender Dr., Suite 200, Fairfax, VA 22030.
Volunteers in Shift 2 who can drive to the office and assist with unloading should also sign up for Shift 3. Anyone is welcome to sign up to meet us at Britepaths for Shift 3, even if they haven't volunteered at Walmart during the day.
This project is physical and requires some heavy lifting. Teens welcome. Children under the age of 14 should volunteer with an adult. Not recommended for children under age 10. Each shift must have at least one person aged 18 or older.
