Parent & Me Winter Wonderland Treats Event

About this class:

Join Celebrity Pastry Chef Dawn Alston of Ravy Cakes, LLC competitor on Food Networks Wedding Cake Championship, for a fun & festive Winter Wonderland Workshop!

During this workshop the teams will receive 4 delicious cupcakes, 4 freshly baked gingerbread cookies, plus items to create s'mores to enjoy while decorating. Hot Cocoa will be provided.

The teams will learn how to pipe buttercream on the cupcakes, create decorative embellishments for the cupcakes, decorate the gingerbread cookies, plus more!

Meet Your Instructor:

Dawn Alston of Ravy Cakes, a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native, grew up in Northern Virginia where she started baking at the age of six. Dawn holds an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and has competed in many local baking events and in 2018 she competed on Food Network’s Wedding Cake Championship. All The Details:

• Age Level: 4+ with a parent/adult
• Skill Level: Beginner
• Each ticket includes 1 adult and 1 child.
• All supplies and tools are provided for use during class.
• We will provide a box for each team to take your cake home in
• The class may be a little messy so we recommend bringing an apron.
• If you have long hair, you may want to tie it back.
• Class requires a minimum of 2 teams and there is a maximum of 8 teams. In the event of insufficient enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
• Class will run approximately 2.5 hours. Please note that the class is hands-on and may run over or under schedule.

Cancellation Policy:

Changes and cancellations...we know life happens so we try our best to be flexible while being fair to our instructors who purchase supplies and bake for each student. Full refunds or credits are available for cancellations made at least 5 days prior to the class. If you need to cancel after 5 days but at least 48 hours in advance, we can offer you a credit for a future class. We cannot offer any credits for cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled class.
