Melting Snowman Cake Decorating Class

Step into the sweet world of cake decorating with this whimsical Melting Snowman Cake! In this class, Laura Larson from Laura’s Custom Cakes will teach you the basics of working with fondant while creating a playful winter design.

What You’ll Learn:

• Buttercream Basics on how to prepare your cake for fondant success
• Fondant Basics on how to cover a cake with fondant to achieve a smooth, even finish. We’ll cover tips for avoiding cracks, tears, or air bubbles, and how to troubleshoot if they appear.
• Character & Design to give your snowman personality with facial expressions and playful details.

You’ll leave with not only an adorable cake, but also the confidence and excitement to create fondant masterpieces for every festive occasion.

This class is recommended for students who have taken the Introduction to Cake Decorating Class or who have a basic knowledge of how to level and crumb coat a cake and get smooth edges with buttercream icing.

Meet Your Instructor:

Laura Larson is the owner of Laura’s Custom Cakes, a licensed home-based bakery. She decorates cakes and other sweet treats professionally, and is a member of the Fran’s crew. In addition to her passion for turning sugar into art, she loves sharing her excitement with others through teaching. She leads classes for aspiring bakers, corporations, government agencies, and community organizations—helping individuals and groups learn new skills, spark creativity, and connect through the joy of cake decorating. All The Details:

• Age Level: 15+
• Skill Level: Intermediate Buttercream / Beginner Fondant
• All supplies and tools are provided for use during class - just bring your creativity
• Each student will receive a 5" crumb-coated cake ready to be decorated
• We will provide a box to take your cake home in
• The class may be a little messy so we recommend bringing an apron.
• If you have long hair, you may want to tie it back.
• Price is per person. A ticket must be purchased for each individual attending the class.
• Class requires a minimum of 4 students and there is a maximum of 8 students. In the event of insufficient enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
• Class will run approximately 3 hours. Please note that the class is hands-on and may run over or under schedule.

Cancellation Policy:

Changes and cancellations...we know life happens so we try our best to be flexible while being fair to our instructors who purchase supplies and bake for each student. Full refunds or credits are available for cancellations made at least 5 days prior to the class. If you need to cancel after 5 days but at least 48 hours in advance, we can offer you a credit for a future class. We cannot offer any credits for cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled class.
