The Providence PTA is holding its first general meeting, and we have a number of items on the agenda.

The Providence PTA invites you to attend an in-person General Membership Meeting on Thursday, October 22nd at 6:30pm in the ProvidenceES library.

The purpose of this meeting is to conduct an election in accordance with our PTA bylaws and to approve several required documents. While we previously attempted to make the voting process more convenient by offering a digital vote, we learned that this process did not comply with our bylaws.  Therefore, this meeting and election must be held in person.

PTA Elections

Nominations for the following PTA officer positions will be made from the floor and must be self-nominations:

President

Vice President

Secretary

Treasurer

If you are interested in serving in one of these positions, please plan to attend the meeting in person and be prepared to self-nominate. Only current PTA members can serve in an officer position and vote. We also encourage you to invite fellow Providence Elementary School families and friends to attend and learn more about becoming involved with the PTA.

During the meeting, the general membership will also review and vote on:

The 2026–2027 organizational structure and membership fees

Prior-year financials

The 2026–2027 budget

Andrew Pratt, principal, will also provide PES updates as part of the agenda.

Your participation is extremely important. In order for the Providence PTA to remain in good standing, we must fill, at a minimum, the President, Secretary, and Treasurer positions. We want to build a collaborative team of parents, caregivers, and community members who are interested in helping plan and support events throughout the school year.

Please gather your friends, neighbors, and fellow PES families and join us on Thursday, October 22nd at 6:30 PM. Together, we can make the 2026–2027 school year a successful year for the Providence PTA!
