Tired of staring at dents, dings, or holes in your walls? Our DIY Drywall Repair Workshop will teach you everything you need to know to get your walls looking smooth and flawless again! Whether it’s from everyday wear or accidents, drywall damage is a common issue, but fixing it yourself is easier than you think. Join us for this hands-on class where you'll learn how to patch holes, repair cracks, and finish your walls like a pro.
What's Covered
✅How to identify types of drywall damage and select the correct repair method
✅Repairing small holes and dings with spackle or compound
✅Cutting out and replacing damaged drywall for medium to large repairs
✅Using paper and mesh tape for seam reinforcement
✅Applying joint compound and feathering for a smooth finish
✅Proper sanding techniques to prep for painting
✅Tips on preventing common mistakes (like visible seams and over-sanding)
✅How to use tools safely and efficiently
Tools You'll Work With:
- Drywall knife
- Drywall saw (jab saw), oscillating tools with drywall blades
- Taping knives (4", 6", 10") and large format drywall mud application blades
- Joint compound (pre-mixed and powder)
- Paper and mesh tape
- Sanding sponges (wet and dry)
- Mud pan
- Stud finder
- Drill/driver and drywall screws
Closed-toe shoes required. Comfortable, well-fitted clothing that you won't mind getting dirty. No loose jewelry. Longer hair should be pulled back in a ponytail or ball cap.
