Join us for Trans Day of Resilience & Remembrance, a community gathering to honor our trans loved ones who have passed and to celebrate the strength, joy, and resilience that continue to carry us forward. 💙💗🤍🏳️⚧️
Throughout the evening we’ll offer a labor of love and care by pinning this year’s memorial cards onto our trans flag, where they’ll remain on display for the next year as a symbol of remembrance and visibility.
We’ll have an open mic for sharing stories of resilience, trans joy, and favorite memories of loved ones who have passed, along with poetry, songs, and even karaoke for anyone moved to share in creative ways.
A community altar will be open for anyone to add items, thoughts, or offerings of strength.
There will be arts and crafts to help ground us, food to nourish us, and peers holding space for anyone who needs support.
We’ll close with a candlelight vigil and a moment of release where we can scream into the void- A space to talk, whisper, cry, scream, growl, or whatever your spirit needs. A time to process and let it out, the rage, grief, tension, fear, and everything we carry, together. 🌿
The day before on Nov 19, volunteers will lovingly retire last year’s memorial cards into a keepsake box to make room for this years.
