Climate justice is about more than just transitioning to renewable energy - it’s also about ensuring that people are treated fairly in that transition, which includes good union jobs on clean energy projects.

Unions have been a powerful force for ensuring justice and equity across sectors, and have shown throughout history that they have the power to realize these values in real terms. When we make sure organized labor is at the forefront of our movements, we all benefit. What would an Alaskan renewable energy transition look like with labor at the center, especially as we look toward some of the renewable energy projects that are currently on the horizon? 

Join us on October 10th from 1:00-3:30pm at the IBEW Hall (2000 Airport Way) for an afternoon of live music from the Honeybucket Stringband, food, and speakers to explore this issue.
