- **Event Description**: Welcome to the 2025 Fairbanks Chokecherry Challenge! This Bioblitz will take place using iNaturalist, an online social network of people sharing biodiversity information to help each other learn about nature.

The objective of this Bioblitz project is to document as many invasive chokecherry trees as possible in interior Alaska. In particular we are interested in documenting the spread of chokecherry from areas where it has been planted as an ornamental to trails, riverbanks, and wooded areas. However, contributions from urban areas are also encouraged. This initiative will run throughout the summer months, from May 30th - October 1st 2025.
