About the event

Detangling Wilderness
Share a cup of medicinal tea and a gentle conversation about land, belonging, and how "wilderness" is imagined - and unsettled. With UAF Department of Alaska Native Studies and Rural Development Assistant Professor Tia Tidwell, and writer, educator, & activist, Julianne Warren.

The discussion will cover the history of colonialist conservation narratives, their impact in the past and now, and how this all fits in with Indigenous sovereignty and decolonization or "land back", for the liberation of all lands and life.

This event is free to the public and hosted by the Fairbanks Climate Action Coalition
