The Sognefjord Alpine traverse

Inner sognefjord is known for its fine snow, and on this trip we combine this with skiing from mountain to the fjord and accommodation at beautiful fjord hotels. The tour includes the most alpine mountain areas along the Sognefjord, including the sharp Meneseggen that separates Fjærlandsfjorden and Vetlefjorden, and the spectacular Keipen, Balestrand's answer to Prekestolen. The route crosses fjord arms where the mountains tower 1500 meters on each side. What could be better after a long day of skiing than being able to check into a comfortable and distinctive fjord hotel, with a three-course dinner with local specialties and good beds. It beats the dormitories in the mountain huts in the Alps. The tour can be done in both directions, and from 2019 we will start the tour in Balestrand and end up in Sogndalsdalen.
