The meeting will be held along the banks of the Bow River, east of Banff National Park in Exshaw, Alberta.Conference ScheduleTuesday August 18th : Half day of presentations, beginning around noon, with evening meal, story telling, sharing, and libations around the campfire. Dinner provided.Wednesday August 19th: Full day of field activities, with attendees assigned to field groups of their choosing (various fitness/adventure levels available). More stories, libations around the campfire. Breakfast, bag lunch, dinner provided.Thursday August 20th: Half day of presentations, beginning in the morning and adjourning around noon. Breakfast provided.Conference DetailsField ActivitiesFurther details on field activities will be provided closer to the date, but there will be a range of activities from habitat rehabilitation work to fisheries and habitat surveys, with a low-difficulty activity as well for those with accessibility considerations.PresentationsIf you are interested in presenting at this year's event, please email sccs@wdafs.orgWhat Does Registration Include?Registration fee includes:Tent camping spot (campground or baseball diamond)Dinner on August 18thBreakfast, bag lunch, dinner on Aug 19thBreakfast on August 20thWhat To Bring?In addition to personal and camping gear, attendees are asked to bring all of the appropriate field gear needed for their chosen activity, such as waders, packs, sunscreen, water bottles, etc. Please bring a reusable mug and or/drinking vessel to help reduce plastic waste.Ensure that all field gear has been decontaminated. Additional information on Alberta's decontamination protocol is available here.
