Carla Jenkins, founder of Raw Writing, realised that what writers need is to carve out time within their day to write - to make an appointment to write, just like you need to make time to walk the dog, go to the gym, or spend time with a friend.

The Silent Writing Club takes place in The Workshop at Exeter Phoenix, Bradninch Place, Gandy Street, Exeter, EX4 3LS

Silent Writing 6.30 - 7.30pm, then join us for a drink in the cafe bar from 7.30-8.30pm

Anyone is welcome to come along and write in silence for an hour with us. It's free and you don't need to book, but we do operate on a first come, first served basis - if places are full when you arrive, we invite you to write in the cafe downstairs and we will join you afterwards.

You are welcome to join us for a coffee and a catch up after our hour's writing - in fact, even if you don't fancy doing the writing, you're welcome to join us for the social afterwards (we will be in the cafe bar from 7.30pm).
