The University of Exeter's Chinese New Year celebrations are the biggest in the city and are regularly attended by over 2,500 people.

The event begins at 1pm with a parade in the city centre: dragon and lion traditional dancing starts at Buffet City, through Cathedral Green, with a performance in Bedford Square, processing along the High Street and Gandy Street to the Royal Albert Museum (weather dependent).

Then the celebrations move to the University campus with more dragon and lion dancing, displays, performances, craft stalls, food and activities suitable for all .

The event concludes with a firework display (weather dependent).

The celebrations are presented by the Chinese Student Scholars Association (CSSA) and supported by University of Exeter, Students' Guild and Streetwise Fund. Find out more at http://www.exeter.ac.uk/internationalstudents/livingintheuk/getinvolved/chinesenewyear/
