BSL is a visual-gestural language: it relies on handshapes, facial expressions, and body language to convey meaning and plays a vital role in communication.This course is ideal for people who would like an introduction to BSL, who would like to learn more about the Deaf community, and/or communicate effectively with a family member, friend or colleague with hearing loss and to have fun while doing so.For adults aged 19+ yearsVenueThis free evening course takes place at Exeter College, Hele Rd, Room H020.Staff will be on hand to show you to the learning space.Accessibility: These sessions are held in an accessible room.Times and AttendanceClass takes place Wednesday evenings, 6pm-8pm.(6-week course)There will be a short break. Please feel free to bring your own refreshments, or hot drinks are available to buy from the onsite cafe.Commitment: we ask learners endeavour to commit to the full 6-week course to enable everyone to get the most from the sessions.
