Copperline is een Americana-band met vijf muzikanten uit de Brugse muziekscene, aangevuld met één Gentse schone.
Het nummer “For the Sake of the Song” van Townes Van Zandt vormde de inspiratiebron voor de band: alles staat ten dienste van de song. Niets meer, niets minder.
Americana is een verzamelnaam voor muziekstijlen die voortkomen uit authentieke country, folk, blues en rootsmuziek. Belangrijke invloeden zijn o.a. The Band, Gram Parsons, Townes Van Zandt, Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, The Eagles en vele anderen.
Copperline brengt nummers van o.a. Townes Van Zandt, Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt, John Hiatt, Amos Lee, Dolly Parton, … aangevuld met een aantal “unusual suspects” die de setlist extra kleur geven.
