"Wil Francis formed William Control because he was interested in making music that didn't match the style of his other band, Aiden. In 2008 William Control released their debut album Hate Culture which is, as explained in a Kerrang! magazine interview, the story of a man named William Control and his last night on Earth because he wishes to kill himself.

After years of Aiden lacing thew front cover of music magazines everywhere, William evolved his writing and penned the beginning of what was to become William Control - a collection of songs too dark for Aiden, with an Industrial/Electro spin to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails and Gary Numan. William Control is a character that Francis created to tell a story throughout their albums; a troubled creature not afraid to speak up and discuss the dark side of Human nature.

Alongside the literary references to Dorian Grey and Oscar Wilde, his albums tell a story cinematically like a film. His character fails to commit suicide on the previous album so in this part of the story, the album entitled Silentium Amoris, finds him chasing a woman back to Europe, trying to find love, and on the way, running into some pretty sadistic and hedonistic activities.

Francis himself has a close connection to Control's character saying "everyone has a few different versions of themselves running around inside their head. I guess William Control is sort of an extension of me, the part that says whatever he wants and gets angry. Generally I am a pretty happy guy, I think writing that stuff and getting it out allows me to be optimistic in my real life".

This will be William Control's most extensive UK tour to date, and Flag Promotions are proud to be here at the beginning of what we are expecting to be one of the most influential alternative artists of the future, his charismatic and intense live performances are compelling and one dose of William Control live is all it takes to become a convert.
