While astrophotography is usually a solo pursuit, this workshop is about doing it together, sharing the process in real time, and learning alongside other photographers in the field. Instruction will take place on location, with guidance provided as needed and plenty of time to practice, experiment, and refine your approach.Whether you make it a single evening or a full weekend getaway, you'll enjoy incredible night skies, hands-on instruction, and the chance to slow down and connect with nature. With nearby camping and convenient hotel accommodations, it's the perfect excuse to unplug, explore, and create images you'll be proud to print and share. Recommended camping & hotels below in the FAQ section.Pre Event Webinar - August 31 6pm CT / 7pm ETBefore we meet on location, we’ll get together online to walk through gear, settings, and how to think about shooting in the dark so you are not walking into it blind.Webinar date will be emailed to registered attendees along with Zoom link.If you cannot make the webinar live, a detailed email with key information from the webinar will be emailed the following day.What to Bring & Other Helpful InformationIf you want to try something new in the field, Fujifilm cameras and lenses will be available, but you are encouraged to bring whatever brand you feel most comfortable using. Every system is welcome.Don’t forget your tripod. Plan for long, slow hours outside after dark, and bring anything that makes that time more comfortable.
