Darrell Denton - The Tennessee Bigfoot Man

In the heart of Tennessee's Cannon County, where generations of his family had hunted before him, Mr. Denton's world was shattered on a fateful November day in 1992. Perched 25 feet high in a deer stand, he came face-to-face with something that defied explanation – a "Monster" that would haunt his dreams and keep him from the woods he once called home for years to come.

Just when he thought he'd put that terrifying encounter behind him, fate had other plans. Seven years later, while fishing the misty waters of the Cumberland River, Mr. Denton experienced something entirely different – another mysterious creature, but this time, one that approached with an unexpected air of curiosity rather than menace.

These encounters sparked a three-decade odyssey into the unknown, as Mr. Denton found himself drawn deeper into a hidden world few dare to acknowledge. Native of Warren County Tn. Tre was raised on Harrison Ferry Mountain, where her bare feet have walked the land, waded in the local creeks, and climbed many indigenous trees. She has a strong connection to Mother Earth and her mission to help others connect to their own inner knowing and spirit carries her throughout every soul she touches. Tre uses sound in her healing work and is known for her intuitive play, Souls’ Lullaby.

Tre has used yoga, meditation, Reiki Attunements & her personal spirituality discipline of Kejawen to increase her knowledge of inner power & vibrational healing to spread the mission of light, love & consciousness in the High Heart.

Tre studied under the Reiki Master Teacher Mary Glesige for seven years to complete her Reiki Master Teacher level. She also studied her Kejawen practice under Guru Penglima Derek for many years and looks forward to bringing her expertise to the CampOut.

Tre will be doing a presentation using Tibetan Crystal Singing Bowls in an attempt to lure Bigfoot in closer to Camp as she has done in the past.

Hosted by Fortean TN – Fortean TN is a Tennessee-based organization dedicated to investigating and documenting unexplained phenomena, including cryptids like Bigfoot, UFO sightings, paranormal events, and regional folklore. Founded in the mid-1990s by a diverse group of field investigators from various professions across Tennessee, the group has been active in researching and exploring the state's rich tapestry of mysterious occurrences.

One of Fortean TN's signature events is the annual , held in McMinnville, Tennessee. This convention brings together researchers, enthusiasts, and the curious-minded to discuss topics ranging from Bigfoot and Dogman to UFOs and other cryptids. The event features guest speakers, experiencers sharing their stories, and an exhibitor hall offering a variety of cryptid-related merchandise.

Fortean TN also maintains an active presence on and , where they share investigations, interviews, and discussions related to their research. Their content delves into the legends and sightings of mysterious creatures and phenomena throughout Tennessee, aiming to shed light on the unexplained aspects of the region's history and culture

Fortean TN is made up of Joshua Manning - a Boston-based filmmaker who's world was forever changed after having an extended Bigfoot encounter while visiting friends in middle Tennessee. Joshua has been running live events for several years, and looks forward to bringing his expertise to the CampOut event.
Houston Merriman - A contractor by trade, Houston fell into field investigation during the 2000-teens, after he experienced several instances of wood-knocking at the same site as where the CampOut is taking place. Having worked previously as a professional cook, Houston will be acting as the tavern-keeper for the event.
Gato Hero - Field Investigator since 2015 and experiencer, Gato has had several encounters in the area of the CampOut, as well as a first-hand sighting of a "spider-crawling" Bigfoot in the Summer of 2016.
Randy Hutchings - Fortean TN's lead field investigator, Randy has been actively engaged in field investigation for several Bigfoot research organizations (BFRO, GCBRO, Blue and Grey, SRI) in Middle Tennessee since the late Nineteen-Ninties. Randy has had four sightings near the CampOut site, ranging from a tree-peeking female to a smaller, black-haired juvenile Sasquatch to a large, seven and a half foot male. Randy has been hosting live events since the early 2000's and looks forward to bringing his expertise in such to the CampOut.
The event site where the CampOut is taking place happens to be Fortean TN’s most active research area out of five they have discovered along the Cumberland Plateau, with them having been getting Bigfoot activity regularly in this location for over a decade.

Our campout is packed with exciting activities, including:

1. Guided day hikes (April 14th-16th, 1pm-4pm) with Fortean TN, through the lush Tennessee wilderness, where you'll have the chance to spot signs of Bigfoot activity and take in the raw natural beauty that is the Cumberland Mountains of Tennessee.

2. Thrilling night hikes (April 14th-16th, 9pm-11pm) under the stars with some of our Special Guests, where you'll get to see how some of the most modern and advanced investigative gear works in real time. Who knows, you might just catch a glimpse of the elusive creatures said to dwell within the woods of the event site while out.

3. Bigfoot Cinema (April 14th-15th, 6pm-8pm) featuring the latest Bigfoot films along-side your delicious dinner-meal. What movies we show at dinner will be voted on by Attendants before the event.

4. Bonfire tales with special guests and attendees - where you'll hear real spine-tingling stories of Bigfoot, Dogman and other cryptid encounters.

5. Round table discussions with our special guests, where you can share your own experiences and learn from others.

6. A hands-on workshop on how to cast a track with Fortean TN.

7. Delicious hot meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) served in our on-site cafeteria for the entirety of the event. Meals are not included in the cost of admission but can be purchased separately via Add-Ons.
