If you see yourself in any of these statements, this is the class for you!  Come sew together at 33 Hawley with an experienced instructor at your disposal. This class is appropriate for all levels, from beginner to seasoned sewist, whether you want to get started with your machine, level up your machine sewing skills, or get a jump start on your mending pile.  Experienced sewists may want to tackle a more complex project like sewing from a pattern, “cloning” a favorite garment, or altering your clothes so they fit the way you want them to!

Michelle Sullivan is a lifelong home sewist with a special interest in garment history, engineering, design and construction. Michelle holds a BA in Theater from UMass Amherst, and continues to enjoy a 29 year career as an educator in Hampshire and Hamden counties.
