Sowing Seeds Children's Festival and Food Drive
The Second Annual Sowing Seeds Children's Festival and Food Drive is a chance for children, families, and friends to cultivate the garden of our community in Winston-Salem!
Sowing Seeds Children's Festival will feature about 30 child artist-vendors sharing and selling their works of art. Also these young artist will share $5 of their earnings to the WS/FC Schools Food Pantry, who helps families in need who will be onsite. Everyone is encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item as a donation.
We are excited to welcome back as performances Tam-Tam Mandingue African Drummers, MS Christine teaching kids yoga, the Ladies of our Central library's music and movement, music with Melissa, Diggs-Latham Elementary honors orchestra, band and dance, and Juxtaposition Studios bring a "pop" up dance. Also inviting other new guest performers of Winston-Salem Suzuki School of Music, Salem Music students, Speas Global Elementary, Ballet Performing Arts Center, and Headcase( a teenage boy band)!
Sowing Seeds Children's Festival will also host many community organizations creating stimulating educational "artivities" for children, families and friends! This includes Kaleidium, NC Wildlife Rehab, Wake Forest Museum of Anthropology, Sawtooth School of Visual Arts, Colony Urban Farm Store with Forsyth Co Bee Keepers Association, Arts For Life, Salem Music, West Salem Garden Club, Gateway Nature Preserve,Stratford Landscaping, Kleur, WS Suzuki School of Music, Speas Global Elementary School, Temple Emmanuel, and a Composting station and worm farm with Alex Toledo. There will be face painting and bubbles station too!
For everyone's palate to enjoy we will have Lucianos Taqueria Food truck, Cafe Gelato, and Kona Ice who will donate 20%of their profits to the food pantry!
