What is the Seed to Storefront ProgramSeed to Storefront is a collaboration of leading D.C. nonprofit organizations, the Washington Area Community Investment Fund (WACIF), D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center, Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH) and Building Bridges Across the River, supported by Wells Fargo designed to support entrepreneurs east of the Anacostia River.  Through this initiative, selected business will receive free technical assistance, pro bono legal support, access to capital and reduced rent retail opportunities, all rooted in a shared commitment to strengthen Ward 7 and 8’s business ecosystem.Space is limited. We encourage interested retailers to attend and learn more ahead about the program in person.Event will be followed by an optional happy hour at BBQ Smokehouse.   Waiver: Edmonson and the Anacostia Arts Center are active construction sites. By entering the property, Visitor acknowledges and assumes all risks associated with visiting a construction site and agrees to comply with all posted warnings and instructions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Visitor releases the owner, developer, and their agents from any liability arising out of or related to the site visit, except to the extent caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.In the event of a tour, all visitors must wear a hard hat and closed‑toe shoes at all times and comply with all safety instructions. Additional PPE may be required as directed by site personnel.
