Led by biologist and insect enthusiast Dr. Carrie Pratt, you’ll learn how to recognize different kinds of insects, spot the differences between similar species, discover some of Ontario’s non-native insects, and see the important roles insects play in local ecosystems. Open to adults, families, and kids alike, bug walks are a fun way to explore local green spaces and see the natural world from a new perspective. No prior knowledge needed–just curiosity!Dr. Carrie Pratt is a researcher at the University of Toronto Scarborough where she studies insects and the microbes they interact with.
