Our goal is simple: help babies ease into the water early, help grown-ups feel confident and prepared, and build a community of families who take water safety seriously from the very start.—🤔 WHY THIS CLASS AND NOT JUST SWIM LESSONS?Formal swim lessons are absolutely important — and we love them! But this class is something different.Most caregivers spend a lot of time in and around the water with their little ones, but may not have the same water safety knowledge that a certified WSI, competitive swimmer, and swim coach brings to the pool every day. This session is designed to close that gap. We'll walk you through what to look for, what to do, and how to be an active, informed participant in your child's water safety — not just a bystander on the pool deck.Think of it this way: swim lessons teach your child. This class teaches YOU — so that every moment you spend in the water together counts.—🌊 TWO SESSIONS AVAILABLE — each with its own age group:👶 Session 1: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM | Ages 6 – 12 MonthsFor your youngest water babies! We'll ease your little one into the water with gentle, confidence-building activities in a safe and supportive environment.🐠 Session 2: 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM | Ages 12 – 24 MonthsPerfect for active toddlers! That experience as a mom is exactly what inspired the My Grown-Up & Me program.I am a Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructor (WSI), an adapted swim instructor with specialized experience working with children with developmental disabilities including children on the autism spectrum, and a former competitive swimmer and swim coach with decades of experience in the water. I have spent my career turning that passion into a mission — teaching thousands of children across the Philadelphia and San Diego regions how to swim safely and confidently.I believe water safety is a family effort, and that the earlier caregivers feel empowered in the water, the sooner children can thrive in it.
