This potent, virtual workshop was designed to prepare ourselves for the sustained courage and effort it takes to defend our freedoms and stand up against further attacks.

WHAT WE'LL DO

Together through activities, ideas, concepts and strategies, we'll explore:

• The Authoritarianism Playbook: Spot the patterns of control and manipulation.
• Practice: Experience a powerful role play - “One Friday Afternoon”
• Exercise: Your Body and Your Boundaries: Feel where your politics live in your body.
• Knocking Down the House of Cards: Learn how fragile authoritarian systems really are.
• Statistics & Potent Stories: A combination of facts and courageous narratives can change how we think about this moment.
• The Non-cooperation Menu: We’ll explore the many creative (and dare we say fun) tactics for resistance that you can plug into
• Strategy and Next Steps: You’ll leave this training with stuff you’re inspired to do
• Support in Dealing with Fear: What experienced activists do. (Hint: Courage is contagious)
• Breathing with Ambiguity: Stay grounded when the future feels uncertain.
• Civic Hygiene: Resistance as a healthy habit like brushing your teeth.
• Resilience Toolkit: This is where joy, creativity and pleasure fit in.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

(she/her) is the Founder of Cuddle Sanctuary, an Intimacy Coordinator for TV and film, and a fellow concerned citizen. Distressed with the direction of this country, she studied collective noncooperation with Freedom Trainers with the goal of empowering herself and her communities. Jean is known for creating warm and welcoming learning experiences honed by years in corporate training and the performing arts. She is a member of Indivisible Westside LA.
