The Makenna Elrod Seiler Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds to provide scholarships for the children of Uvalde, Texas (Region 8, Uvalde County). The foundation was established by Chris Seiler in honor of his daughter, Makenna Elrod Seiler, a victim of the tragic Uvalde school shooting on May 24, 2022.

Throughout the year The Makenna Elrod Seiler Foundation identifies and supports family and youth needs in the Uvalde community. One example is MES Foundation and Makenna’s Elves purchasing, preparing, and taking Christmas dinner and gifts to families in Makenna’s honor. Another example is sponsoring local youth sports.

The Annual Makenna Elrod Seiler Memorial Scholarship Event & Silent Auction occurs annually near Makenna’s birthday in April. The goal of the event, is to raise funds, all of which will be granted to deserving students in Uvalde who may otherwise struggle to afford higher education. Makenna was a bright young student who had a passion for learning and a loving servant heart. Her love for education and helping others is carried out in her memory through the MES Foundation.

We encourage you to join us in our efforts to support the community and families of the shooting victims. Your generosity and kindness will make a lasting impact and help the community on their continuous journey towards healing and recovery. Thank you for your support.
